Description of binding

The book has a brown, blind-tooled full-leather binding. It was originally fastened with four pairs of left-to-right fastening clasps. The book features wooden boards. The textblock is sewn all along on four double leather sewing supports. Parchment sewing guard is pasted down within the paper quires. The left and right endleaves are handwritten parchment leaves which were pasted to the new endleaves with a flap during later repair. At the tail-edge, an ink-written titling is visible, perpendicular to the boards. The endband is undecorated, the endband core is made of brown leather, which must have been fastened to the bookblock in one session, with sewing. The book was restored in 1980 in the Restoration Laboratory of National Széchényi Library, but it had been repaired earlier as well. It was provided with a new leather spine, it was completed with two pairs of clasps and with watermarked paper endleaves.
