Possessor, provenience: the volume was written by Bartolomeo Fonzio himself and dedicated to King Matthias Corvinus and the heir to the throne, John Corvinus (1473–1504), he probably personally presented his gift when he visited Buda in 1489; the fate of the volume after Matthias' death is unknown; Augustus II, Duke of Brunswick (r. 1635–1666) was informed of the acquisition of the manuscript on 11 September 1619 by his agent in Augsburg, Philipp Hainhofer (1578–1647)
